Author Guidelines
General Format
Manuscripts submitted to the Ecovisi Journal of Public Policy, Laws & Social Science (EJPLS) must be original works that have not been previously published and are not under consideration by another journal. All manuscripts must follow the official article template provided by the journal.
The manuscript should be prepared using Microsoft Word on A4 paper size (210x297 mm) with the following margins: top 30 mm, bottom 20 mm, left 25 mm, and right 20 mm. The font used is Palatino Linotype, size 12 pt, single line spacing. The total word count should be between 6,000–7,000 words, including tables, figures, and references.
The manuscript should be organized into the following structured sections:
- Title
- Author’s name (without academic title)
- Institutional affiliation
- Corresponding author’s email
- Abstract and Keywords
- Introduction
- Research Methodology
- Results and Discussion
- Conclusion
- References
Manuscripts containing any form of plagiarism will be rejected outright. EJPLS uses plagiarism detection tools such as Turnitin or iThenticate.
Guidelines for Manuscript Content
Title
The title should be concise, clear, and informative, not exceeding 12 words. It must reflect the main content of the article and avoid uncommon abbreviations. Titles should be formatted in 18 pt bold, justified, and use capitalization only for the first word or proper nouns.
Abstract
The abstract should be between 150–250 words, written in Palatino Linotype size 9 pt, and should include the research objectives, methods, results, conclusions, and optionally limitations. Include 3–5 keywords, listed alphabetically.
Introduction
Briefly explain the background, literature review, gap analysis, research questions, and objectives. The novelty and contribution of the article must be clearly stated at the end of this section.
Research Methodology
Describe the research design, data sources, instruments, and methods of analysis. The methodology should be presented clearly and in narrative form to allow replication.
Results and Discussion
Present the results supported by relevant data, tables, and figures. Discuss the findings in relation to previous studies and theoretical perspectives, ensuring that all discussions refer back to the stated objectives or hypotheses.
Conclusion
Summarize the main findings, answer the research questions or hypotheses, and provide implications, limitations, and recommendations. Avoid repeating the results or discussion verbatim.
References
All references must follow the APA 7th Edition format. At least 80% of the references must be from primary sources (scientific journals) published within the last 10 years, with a minimum of 10 references.
Citation and Reference Management
All in-text citations and references must be managed using reference management software such as Mendeley, EndNote, or Zotero. Proper citation practices must be followed to avoid plagiarism and maintain academic integrity.
Online Submission Guidelines
Authors must register on the journal’s website before submitting their manuscripts. Once registered, authors can log in and follow the five-step submission process:
Step 1 – Starting the Submission
Complete the submission checklist and confirm compliance with the journal’s policies.
Step 2 – Uploading the Submission
Upload the manuscript in .doc or .docx format.
Step 3 – Entering Metadata
Fill in all required author details, select the interface language (English or Bahasa Indonesia), and paste the title, abstract, and keywords into the designated fields.
Step 4 – Uploading Supplementary Files
Upload supplementary documents, such as a Plagiarism-Free Statement or a Cover Letter.
Step 5 – Confirming Submission
Review your submission and click "Finish Submission". Authors will receive a confirmation email upon successful submission.
